Follow the "elements of style" to write clearly and cut ruthlessly.

## When to Use This Skill

Use this skill whenever you write prose for humans:

- Documentation, README files, technical explanations
- Commit messages, pull request descriptions
- Error messages, UI copy, help text, comments
- Reports, summaries, or any explanation
- Editing to improve clarity

If you're writing sentences for a human to read, use this skill.

## Writing Style Contract

All human-readable prose must follow these rules:

- Prefer short, direct sentences.
- Use active voice unless passive voice is clearly better.
- Put statements in positive form.
- Use definite, specific, concrete language.
- Omit needless words.
- Keep related words together.
- Put the main point early; place emphasis at the end of the sentence when useful.
- One paragraph, one topic.
- Avoid filler, repetition, hedging, and motivational language.
- Avoid vague qualifiers such as "somewhat", "kind of", "basically", "probably" unless uncertainty matters.
- Do not use long preambles or meta commentary.
- If a sentence can be cut without loss of meaning, cut it.

Before producing the final answer, silently rewrite once for concision and clarity.

## Prohibited Style

- Do not start with empty acknowledgements like "Got it", "Sure", "Great question".
- Do not explain obvious steps.
- Do not repeat the user's request back unless needed to resolve ambiguity.
- Do not use long bullet lists when a short paragraph is enough.
- Do not sound promotional, emotional, or flattering.
