### 1. Environment Variables

- [ ] `MONGODB_URI` exists (not hardcoded)
- [ ] Uses `mongodb+srv://` protocol (required for Atlas)

- [ ] Includes `retryWrites=true&w=majority`
- [ ] No credentials in `.env.example`

### 2. Connection String Format
